Acting Technique: Stanley Harrison
What is a technique class? What is meant by technique? Well, on one level it is how to get things done--but it is really much more than that. It should contain at least five elements:
Stanley Harrison has been teaching acting technique class at 13th Street Rep since 1990. The class uses the great creative ideas of the Russian teachers including Michael Chekhov.
Stanley has been training and teaching actors for over forty years. A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, he studied with late Professor Constance Welch, one of the finest teachers in the American Theatre. In addition, he studied and worked with the Directors of the National Theatres of Denmark and Holland. As an actor he has appeared in over three hundred roles. His directing and teaching experiences are equally numerous.
Terms: Class is $40 per class (Rep Members receive a $15 discount per class). You must commit to one term, which is 3 months. Class meets once a week for 2 hours.
