Adventures of the Heart

The summer interns of 13th Street Repertory Theatre have created a pantomime performance piece inspired by the clowning techniques of French actor and miming instructor, Jacques Lecoq (1921-1999).  This unique, inspiring pantomime follows the peculiar tangles of romance we all endure.

The technique that influenced this production was developed by a Frenchman named Jacques Lecoq, the founder of L'École Internationale de Théâtre in Paris. The school’s program lasts two years and the students learn every aspect of miming during which all elements of life are rediscovered. During this physical theatre experience keep your mind, eyes and ears open this evening; but not your cell phones. Thank you!
